4 BOX INLIGHT 2010

InLight Richmond 2010 is the third annual exhibition of light-inspired contemporary art. Selected by juror Amanda McDonald Crowley, national and international artists will present installations that engage with light—light as medium, light as subject matter—while interacting with the urban environment. From its inception, InLight was designed to be a roving exhibition that highlighted different parts of the city, with the artists’ interventions responding to each site’s distinctive qualities. InLight 2010 in Shockoe Slip is no exception. Unique this year are a series of “pop-up” galleries—interior settings that draw attention to sub-street level spaces in Shockoe Slip and unite the many outdoor sites. As always, InLight Richmond increases accessibility to contemporary art. http://inlightrva.com/
